One Health Data Analytics Capacity Development Program: First Meetup

We are excited to announce the inaugural session of the One Health Data Analytics Capacity Development Program, hosted by GIZ on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as part of the One Health Data Alliance Africa (OHDAA) initiative.

This event aims to bring together participants, mentors, and experts in One Health to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and explore innovative data-driven solutions that address critical issues at the intersection of human, animal, and environmental health.

Session Focus:

Collation of Antimicrobial Resistance Data in a One Health Approach

The discussion will cover:

  • Tools and methods for supporting AMR data surveillance in human and animal health sectors.
  • Strategies for digitizing AMR surveillance data at the sector level.
  • Techniques for transferring data from individual surveillance sites to a centralized/national repository.
  • Integration of AMR data across sectors into a unified DHIS2 platform.
  • Development of analysis and visualization tools to provide a holistic One Health perspective on AMR data.
